Nuh Violence: CPI(M) Writes to Haryana CM Demanding Probe

The Communist Party of India (Marxist) Kurukshetra District Committee has written a letter to the Chief Minister of Haryana demanding an impartial investigation into the violence in Nuh.

The letter said that the violent incidents that took place during the alleged Brajbhoomi Yatra organized by a communal organization in Nuh are very worrying for everyone. Independent sources say that the responsible people of Nuh had already warned the administration about this yatra that there was a serious risk of peace being disturbed. Such fears were not unfounded in view of the heinous crime of burning two young men, Junaid and Nasir, in the village of Ghatmika, Rajasthan, in February 2023. However, it is surprising that the administration not only allowed such a yatra by communal organizations, but also did not make adequate arrangements to deal with any serious situation despite the apprehension. What has happened actually raises questions about the intention of the administration. It does not seem that your government was not aware of this in advance.

The letter said that the situation is now being described as extremely tense. Therefore, the responsibility of the above questions and violence can only be ascertained through an impartial investigation. At present, there is a need to take immediate and effective steps at the administrative, political and social levels. Any negligence on this side will provide an opportunity to anti-social elements to spoil the mutual goodwill.

In the letter, the Communist Party of India (Marxist) Kurukshetra District Committee has urged the Chief Minister of Haryana to take effective intervention in this matter by taking it up as a priority.

Here are some of the key points of the letter:
