HANOI – On a crisp morning filled with a sense of historic weight and renewed purpose, the top leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) gathered to pay their respects to the nation’s founding father, marking the emotional commencement of the 14th National Party Congress.
A Tribute to a "Genius Leader"
Led by General Secretary To Lam, a solemn delegation of Party leaders and delegates arrived at the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum in Ba Dinh Square. Before the opening of the Congress’s preparatory session, the leaders stood in silent reflection, laying a floral tribute to President Ho Chi Minh.
The atmosphere was one of profound gratitude. The delegation expressed deep remembrance for the "immense contributions" of the late President—remembered as a genius leader and a hero of national liberation. They honored his legacy as the architect who founded and nurtured the CPV, which continues to serve as the vanguard of the working class and the Vietnamese people.
Honoring the Fallen
Following the visit to the Mausoleum, the delegation moved to the Monument to Heroes and Martyrs on Bac Son Street. In a poignant ceremony, they laid a wreath and offered incense to honor those who sacrificed their lives for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland. This act served as a powerful reminder of the cost of the nation's sovereignty as the Party looks toward its future governance.
